How to Pass Your Classes Every Time

Passing classes is the highest priority in college. You may worry that college will be harder than high school but armed with a few tips, you will pass your classes every time.
1. Don’t procrastinate.
One way is to stay on top of tasks as you get them. Get in the habit of doing your assigned reading every day before a certain time. Love watching videos with friends at night? Train yourself to finish your tasks before your video start time. This way watching videos with friends becomes a reward and getting things done ahead of time becomes a new habit.
2. Set study goals.
Break down studying into concrete steps. For example, you might tell yourself you will re-read your notes from the day’s lecture, then read the next assigned chapter, and then write down 3 questions that come to mind after your reading. Your goals should be discrete, measurable and have a deadline.
3. Get a tutor.
Tutoring is a great way to make sure you understand course material. Most colleges offer free tutoring services. Consulting a tutor is also a good thing to do before exams.
4. Get a study partner.
Or two. Having a study partner is another way to make sure study time each day gets accomplished. Your study partner can inspire and help you get through tough or boring subjects.
5. Ask questions.
One of the worst things you can do is not ask questions during or after class lectures. When you are lost, if you don’t ask questions, you will find it impossible to keep up. Remember: there are no dumb questions.
College is not made for students to fail. Believe it or not, colleges do want to graduate you. Be sure to take advantage of all the resources they offer to help you get through and pass.
