How to Manage your College Workload

How to Manage your College Workload

It’s easy to be overwhelmed by all the choices college has to offer. To be a full-time student you will have to sign up for the minimum credit level, but you can meet that credit level and be strategic at the same time.

Every class is different in terms of how many credits one receives upon completion. Most general education classes range in credits with easier courses counting for fewer credits and more advanced classes counting for more credits.

A good way to balance your quarter or semester is to mix more difficult, high credit courses with at least one fun class. For example, colleges offer courses such as yoga, weight training, golf and many others. Giving yourself some down-time while still racking up credits, not only helps you move closer to graduation but also takes some of the stress away come finals week.

It is always easier to work hard at classes that interest you. Ultimately, the best way to manage your college workload is to choose classes that you want to take.
